Sunrise Chevrolet Collierville is a great dealer. I recommend them to everyone that I know who is looking to purchase a used or new vehicle. The wait time was very short and the staff was amazing. Normally you don't have direct communication with the finance managers or the General Manager, but everyone was so very nice in closing my deal. They have a great way of showing the customer that they appreciate them when purchasing a vehicle. The entire group comes together to thank you and shake your hand. This is for the service dept. Marvin is excellent to work with. He is upfront about pricing, explains the occasional deviations clearly with solid justifications (I'm a car guy and would know if he's trying to pull something) and always has advice on ways to get dependable and long life from my Yukon that I can do without costing a TON. What I like best is he tells me how to plan the next routine service so I'm not hit with big service bills all at once and how to best use the promotions/dealer coupons to save me money! I've been very happy with the speed and quality of work from the the service department and those working on my vehicle as well and they deserve credit as well! I'll keep coming back to Sunrise service to see Marvin and his team!
I feel my experience could have been better. I brought my car in on a Friday at 4pm because my air was not working properly and I needed an oil change. I was not able to have my car looked at even though there was two hours left before the closing time. I guess the techs were finishing up what they were already working on so it would not be possible to get it looked at that time. I asked if I could leave it. I was told I could leave it but it would probably be Monday before someone could look at, but if there was an extra technician they might be able to look at it but there were no promises made. When I made it home I was thinking to myself, 'if I had made it there on a Saturday morning at opening they would have waited on me' so why am I having to wait? On Monday I called to see what time I could pick my car up and I was told I could pick it up at the time of the call but only the oil had been changed. I was told my compressor for the air had gone out and they were having trouble finding one and it would be about 1 week before they would have one. Seven days later which was Monday, October 23, I called back to see if it had come in and the answer was no, we are still waiting to hear from all of the dealerships I guess in other states. If we don't hear anything in another day or so then we resort to the manufacturer. This is totally unacceptable. This is just unimaginable as to why it would take this long for your other business to respond about their inventory and to get in touch with the manufacturer.
Absolutely horrid service, took my vehicle in for universal joints, they told me the brake lines were corroded. Brakes worked perfect when I got out of the vehicle at the service bay. I was there for 6 hours, when they brought by vehicle around there was so much brake fluid leaking out that a puddle had formed under the vehicle and the brake light was on. They wanted to charge mr4 times what another mechanic quoted to chang the brake lines. Only reason I give one star is because there was no option for negative stars! What are the chances of a brake line blowing out in the period of time that they drove it into the bay? With those odds I need to play the lottery... will never be back!!!
I will never, never return to Sunrise to buy or have a vehicle serviced nor will I recommend your crooked service department to anyone I know. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and his response was NOT even close to the dealership. I was screwed by Sunrise's service department and as a result will never buy another product from Sunrise . I will actively NOT recommend anyone I know to Sunrise, ever.
