I was driving late at night and I saw the police lights ahead, I didn't think anything of it because I wasn't speeding - until I saw the sign change to 55 and before I knew it blue lights. They were hiding in wait - when it was all said and done, 4 police cars were at my stop..... Four. I could hear and see them laughing and chatting in my review mirror.
These guys are highway robbers.
How does this small town have/need so many highway patrol officers for such a short stretch of road? Money. That's why. $$$$
I might be slightly bitter, but police are supposed to protect us - not rob us. Clearly I wasn't being reckless as I was just going the posted limit not 20 feet before.
The town has around 1,500 people and I'd wager 50% of them are employed by the police department. Highway 72 just enters their jurisdiction for about half a mile. In that time the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 and boy are they waiting to catch you.
